Summer Streets creates new al fresco dining opportunities in Islington

Islington residents and visitors can look forward to a packed schedule of free outdoor events, activities and al fresco dining this summer, thanks to support from the Mayor of London’s Summer Streets Fund.

In Finsbury Park, two on-street parking bays on Blackstock Road will be transformed into pocket parklets, creating new places to sit, eat and socialise outdoors. Independent businesses will be offering a range of delicious food options, helping to create a more welcoming high street environment and encouraging people to spend more time in the area.

The Summer Streets Fund is part of the Mayor of London’s commitment to bring more life to high streets and town centres, helping Londoners make the most of the city throughout the summer and beyond.
